Drive Caterhams at Autosport Show | Motoring News | Honest John

Motorsport enthusiasts attending Autosport International at Birmingham’s NEC on 14-17 January 2010 will get the chance to sample one of the most exhilarating sports cars on the market, with the return of the Caterham Drive Experience.

The Caterham, which accelerates from 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds, provides a truly jaw-dropping experience and makes a welcome return to Autosport International, as
it celebrates its 20th anniversary with a fleet of Caterham Sevens and expert drivers on hand to provide fans with the ride of their life.

Located in Hall 4, next to the Live Action Arena, the experience will enable show-goers to share a ride around a specially-constructed drift course.

“We are excited to be bringing the Caterham Drive Experience back to Autosport International,” Caterham’s Sales and Marketing Director Andrew Noble said.

“With Caterham it’s all about the action and the exhilaration of driving, so our participation in the show is much more than just cars on carpet. We want visitors to be able to see, hear and smell the cars, not to mention experience their performance first hand.

“After all, the thrill of fast cars is what makes us all petrol heads in the first place. We expect the stand to be as busy as ever and we look forward to showing off Caterham’s unique attraction.”

Autosport International Director Ian France added: “Autosport International isn’t just about the drivers and machines, but also about giving fans a real taste of what
motorsport is all about. There are few cars as exciting as the Caterham, and I’m sure that anyone who goes along to sample the experience will leave with a smile on their face!”

As well as the Caterham Drive Experience, show-goers can get behind the wheel themselves at the karting track, or virtually in the Mobil 1 Grand Prix Simulator. Or, if being entertained by professionals is preferred, visitors can watch the wheel-to-wheel racing shows in the Live Action Arena throughout the weekend.

Tickets are now on sale for the public show, which is held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, on 14-17 January. Adult tickets start at £29 per day, with
children’s tickets costing from £19. For more information and to book, please visit Autosport-International
