People who normally go for a Volvo when buying a car may be particularly impressed by the manufacturer’s new S60 Concept.
Due to make its world debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January, the motor has been produced to illustrate what the revised S60 will look like when it is released in 2010.
Commenting on the future model, Stephen Odell, Volvo Cars president and chief executive officer, said: "The all-new S60 will be one of the strongest players in a segment where the competition is razor-sharp."
He added: "The driving properties are better than in any previous Volvo."
As far as the appearance of the new car is concerned, the manufacturer stated the coupe-inspired lines which were evident in the original version will be even more pronounced in the updated version.
In related motoring news, Volvo unveiled its ReCharge Concept – which it described as a "groundbreaking plug-in hybrid" – at the Paris Motor Show earlier this year.
