Daihatsu, is slashing prices by up to £2,000 on its Terios mini sport-utility and Charade.
The reductions – which start from 1 March – are permanent.
The 1.3 litre Terios Tracker will now cost £8,995 on-the-road – a reduction of £1,950 – while the higher-spec Sport retails at £10,495 – £2,000 less than before.
The £8,995 Terios Tracker has ABS, front electric windows, power steering, alloy wheels, central-locking, twin front airbags, a radio/CD player and, of course, permanent four-wheel drive with an electronic differential lock.
The £10,495 Sport adds larger alloy wheels and low-profile tyres, air-conditioning, front fog-lamps, remote central-locking, a large tailgate spoiler and the choice of Silver monotone or Black, Green or Blue metallic with Silver lower body cladding.
The 1.0 litre Charade range gets a £300 reduction, meaning the range now starts at £5,695 OTR for the EL three door with the EL five door costing £6,495 and the five door SL, £6,995.
The £5,695 Charade EL has ABS, power steering, twin front airbags, a radio/CD player, electric front windows and door mirrors and central locking.
Manual versions will reach almost 100 mph yet give 68.9 mpg on the Extra Urban cycle. Its 114 g/km CO2 is the lowest of any four-seat petrol-engined car and qualifies for a £75 VED (12 months plus £38 first registration fee).
