All-new Pininfarina styled Nubira from GM revitalised South Korean company follows Daewoo Kalos in much improved model line-up. On sale in South Korea as the Daewoo Lancetti from late November 2003, with Euro imports to start Summer 2003. 4.5 metres long with a wheelbase of 2.6 metres to compete in the lower medium sector of the UK market.
The Nubira was styled by Pininfarina and has a modern interior complemented by the use of high quality mouldings and materials. Has 1.6 and 1.8 litre four-cylinder engines each tuned to maximise fuel efficiency yet maintain good throttle response for a rewarding driving experience. Optimised body structural design procedures coupled to the intelligent use of high-strength steels ensure good occupant protection and, based upon in-house testing and computer simulation, the GM Daewoo development team is confident of achieving a four-star NCAP rating. Attention to detail in engine and suspension isolation techniques ensures a particularly quiet ride.
The new Daewoo Nubira saloon will make its European premiere at Geneva in March 2003 and will be the first in a range, to be followed by five-door hatchback and estate car variants.
